Campo Maior - People´s Festival

The People’s Festival (also known as the Flowers Festival) is not an annual event. It happens only when the people decide to make it so. One of the most impressive Portuguese traditions, the festival sees the streets of Campo Maior fully decorated with colorful paper flowers. Each street keeps the decorations a secret until the eve of the first day. It’s a healthy competition for the best street decorations and is certainly a sight to see. These images were taken at the 2015 Festival.
