The Sensory Ecopark of Pia do Urso
The Sensory Ecopark of Pia do Urso is located in Pia do Urso, municipality of Batalha, district of Leiria, Portugal. It is a rural area that has been requalified for tourism, having its old houses rebuilt and with the implementation of an ecological theme park, with a pedestrian "sensorial" route, adapted to the blind visitors. The course is composed of several interactive and play stations. Along the way you can appreciate the flora and fauna, and various geological formations - the so-called "sinks" - where, it is said, the bears used to come and drink (hence the name). Pia do Urso has a reception and interpretation center, shops, cafes and restaurants, car park, picnic area, playground, and a mountain bike center.
