Cais Palafitico in Carrasqueira

Masterpiece of the popular architecture, the Palafitte Pier in Carrasqueira, is the only one in Europe built with irregular wooden stakes apparently fragile, since the 1950s and 1960s it serves as a pier to the boats that moor there. It is a part of the Reserva Natural do Estuário do Sado.
